Small Homestead Big Hearts

you smell like a goat

Nestled in the heart of Ohio, we are first generation homesteaders learning how to produce and not just consume. From the garden, to the chickens and guineas, to the goats, we are learning and growing in this labor of love.

Labor of Love

Learning animal husbandry for our homesteading application sounds so sophisticated. We want the happiest and healthiest animals possible, and we are constantly learning and growing.

Our animals are interacted with daily, and we have a very hands on approach with our care. We love them dearly and hope others will too!

The Vision

The idea was chickens, a big garden and two goats. We all know chicken math, but goat math happens too. We have four does (and are retaining one of our kids) and now also have two bucks that we love dearly.

The goal is to produce as much food and nutrition as possible on this land while maintaining it, and the dream is for the farm to somehow become sustainable.

Dreams can be scary, because they can seem too big, but the bigger they are, the further you get. So here we go!
